What you need

tsp cayenne pepper

tsp garlic powder

tsp kosher salt

tsp black pepper

tostada shells

avocado

cup lettuce

cup cherry tomato

lb ground beef

puff pastry

cup refried beans

cup cheese
egg
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add in the ground beef and use a cooking utensil to break it all apart. Season with a hefty pinch of salt plus your desired amount of the other seasonings (taste for seasoning once the beef is cooked). When beef is fully brown and no longer pink, remove from heat and set aside. On a clean cutting board, lay the sheet of puff pastry flat. On one half of the pastry, spread on the refried beans in an even layer. Then pile on the cooked ground beef, the cheese, avocado, lettuce, and tomatoes. Fix the crunchy tostada shell on top (I broke mine in half so it would fit). Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the top, using a fork to seal the edges together. Move to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use a pastry brush to brush a layer of the beaten egg over the top. Bake the entire thing for about 30 minutes, until the top is golden brown. Cut into pieces and serve. Enjoy immediately!View original recipe
