Artichoke 101: Simple Boiled Artichokes with Garlic Lemon Butter

Artichokes are back in season, babyyyy! 💚 and I often meet people who don’t know what they are / how to eat them! Here’s a lil 101 for you - with more artichoke recipes to come 🥰 instructions below‼️

What you need

oz parmesan cheese

artichoke
lemon

clove garlic clove

tbsp salted butter
Instructions
Bring a large pot of water to boil and add in a generous amount of salt. Place in the 2 artichokes to cook, making sure they’re covered by water (or at least mostly covered). Cover the pot and boil the artichokes for 45 minutes-1 hour. You can tell they’re done when you can easily stick a butter knife stuck into the stem area (it should be quite tender). Remove from the water and set aside. Place butter in a microwaveable dish and microwave for about 30 seconds, or until melted. Add in the garlic and lemon juice. Serve the cooked artichokes with the butter mixture and a side of the grated cheese. Enjoy!View original recipe
