What you need

puff pastry

cup milk

cup granulated sugar
mcintosh apple
egg
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400F & line a baking sheet with parchment. 2. Slice the apples horizontally into 1/4 inch disks, with the core in the center. Use a small cookie cutter or a knife to remove the cores from the centers of the apple slices. 3. Set up 2 bowls. One with the milk, and the other with the sugar and cinnamon. Stir the cinnamon & sugar mixture to evenly combine. Dunk the apple slices into the milk, then into the cinnamon sugar. Evenly coat and pack the cinnamon sugar onto the apple slices. Reserve extra cinnamon sugar. 4. Lay the puff pastry sheet on a clean work surface. Cut 1/4 inch-wide strips of the puff pastry. Wrap these strips around the apple slices, weaving them through the holes and wrapping them all the way around. Place them onto the baking sheet. 5. Brush the pastry-covered apples with egg wash, and sprinkle on some of the cinnamon sugar onto each. Bake for about 30 minutes, until pastry is deep golden brown. 6. Serve and enjoy!View original recipe
