Ponzu Salmon Sushi Waffles

Sushi 🤝 Waffle 🍣🧇 ever since I got this lil waffle maker and learned I could use it to make crispy rice… I have been POPPIN’ off making these! This ponzu salmon version is divine, trust me 💁🏻♀️ recipe below ‼️

What you need
oz gochugaru

wasabi

bunch green onion

tbsp mirin

tsp salt

tbsp sriracha

tbsp rice vinegar
cup sushi rice

tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

tbsp sesame oil

cup cucumber

avocado

fl oz olive oil cooking spray

oz salmon

tbsp ponzu sauce

tsp Hot Honey
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine cooked sushi rice with rice vinegar, sesame oil, mirin, and salt. Mix to evenly coat rice. Heat a small waffle maker & grease with cooking spray. Fill the waffle maker with half of the rice mixture, and cook in the waffle maker until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the other half of rice and set the rice waffles aside. In a large bowl, combine salmon cubes, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and ponzu. Mix well. Assemble the waffles. Put a small dollops of wasabi into the waffle crevices if you like, then top the waffles with the salmon mixture. Drizzle on spicy honey, then add on the sliced green onion, diced cucumber, sliced avocado, and gochugaru. Enjoy!View original recipe
