pinch black pepper
slice provolone

tbsp olive oil

red onion

dill pickle

red bell pepper

pinch kosher salt
egg

bratwurst
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium high. Add in the sliced bell peppers and red onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the veggies start to soften. Season with a hefty pinch of kosher salt and black pepper. Continue to cook until fully softened. Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Lay two halves of the provolone cheese down on the parchment, spaced apart at least 6 inches. On top of the cheese pieces, lay down a bratwurst. On top of the bratwursts and cheese, lay down one half each of puff pastry. Gently press it down around the hot dog. Brush the top of the puff pastry with egg wash. Bake for about 15 mins, or until golden brown. Flip the puff pastry hot dogs over to expose the hot dogs underneath. Drizzle on mustard, then spread out the cooked onions & peppers, and add in a pickle spear. Serve and enjoy!View original recipe
