What you need

dash freshly cracked black pepper

tbsp fresh chives

head garlic

fl oz extra-virgin olive oil

unsalted butter

tsp red chili flakes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Remove the outer papery parts of the head of garlic, and cut off the tips to reveal the inner cloves. Drizzle on some olive oil and sprinkle on some salt. Wrap the garlic tightly in some aluminum foil, and place into the oven to roast for about an hour, until garlic cloves are deep golden brown. Once done, set aside to cool. In a bowl, combine softened butter, 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, red pepper flakes, and chives. Carefully squeeze the roasted garlic cloves out of the garlic head and add into the butter mixture. Mix to combine. On a piece of plastic wrap, place the butter mixture. Roll it up and shape the butter into a cylinder in the plastic wrap. Place into the fridge to harden. Serve on bread, steak, or anything else you’d like. Enjoy!View original recipe
