A flavorful chicken Caesar burger recipe featuring seasoned ground chicken patties, provolone cheese, and a homemade Caesar dressing served on a hamburger bun with fresh romaine lettuce.
In a large bowl, add in the ground chicken, shallot, half the minced garlic, a hearty pinch of kosher salt, plus black pepper and crushed red pepper to taste. Use your hands to mix just until the ingredients are evenly combined.
Oil your hands and form the ground chicken mixture into 4 burger-size patties. Set aside.
Set up a dredging station with the flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned panko in 3 separate bowls. Season the flour and eggs with salt and pepper. Dredge the ground chicken patties in the flour, egg, then panko.
Add about an inch of oil for frying into a pan. Add in the chicken burgers, being careful to not overcrowd. Cook each one until deep golden brown on the bottom, then flip and repeat. They’re done when a meat thermometer reads an internal temp of 165F. Remove from oil and set on a paper towel lined plate.
Add a slice of provolone to each and bake or air fry at 350F for about 5 minutes (or until cheese is gooey)
Meanwhile, make the Caesar dressing. Add the remaining minced garlic to a bowl. Add in the anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, egg yolk, lemon, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to mix, then drizzle in the olive oil while stirring, until a thick creamy dressing forms. Grate in some Parmesan cheese and mix.
Assemble the sandwiches. Lay out the buns then add on the chicken burgers, then a handful of chopped romaine, then dress with the Caesar dressing. Add on some fresh cracked black pepper and another grate of Parmesan. Serve and enjoy immediately!
