What you need

tbsp unsalted butter

slice prosciutto

puff pastry

slice cheddar cheese

slice mozzarella cheese

tbsp fig spread
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cut the large puff pastry sheet in half so you have 2 sheets. 2. Place one of the sheets on parchment on a large cutting board. Spread the fig jam out on the puff pastry sheet. Then place a layer of mozzarella slices, then prosciutto, then the grated sharp cheddar. 3. Carefully lay the other puff pastry sheet on top, making sure all the edges and corners match up. Use a sharp knife to cut the layered pastry into 1-inch strips. 4. Fold the strips into the shape of a tree, and stick small wooden skewers in each one, puncturing all the way through and leaving a bit of skewer coming through the top of each tree. 5. On a parchment-lined baking sheet, lay the pastry trees down, spaced out. Brush melted butter on the top of each one, then bake for 15-20 minutes. The tops should be golden brown and the pastry should be cooked through. 6. Meanwhile, use a small star cookie cutter to cut out stars from the sandwich-cut pieces of cheese. When the pastry trees are done, put the cheese stars on skewers coming out of the top of each tree. Serve and enjoy!View original recipe
