What you need

pinch salt

tbsp fresh dill

pinch red pepper flake

dill pickle chips

slice sourdough bread

slice deli ham

tbsp unsalted butter

slice process american cheese

oz sharp cheddar

oz fontina cheese

pinch black pepper
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, dill, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir to evenly mix. 2. On one of the slices of bread, spread on the butter mixture. Top that with the shredded sharp cheddar and 2 slices American cheese. Layer on the slices of ham. Evenly spread out the pickle coins, then sprinkle on the shredded fontina. Finish off with 2 more slices American cheese, then close the sandwich with the other piece of bread. 3. Heat a large pan on medium-low. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the top of the sandwich, then place that side down onto the pan. Cook, using a sandwich press if you have, for 5-7 minutes. The bottom of the sandwich should be golden but not burnt. 4. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the top (other side) of the sandwich, then flip the sandwich and repeat cooking/pressing on this side. When both sides are golden and all the cheese is melted, remove from heat. 5. Open the sandwich and place in some of the dill pickle potato chips. Serve and enjoy!View original recipe
