✨Korean-Style Beef Bowl✨
Serves 430 mins prep25 mins cook
I wanted to make my own bulgogi beef after seeing @cj.eats_ recipe - but used jarred Korean BBQ sauce to save some time on the marinade! This bowl works great for a weeknight dinner 🤗

What you need

bunch green onion
cup short grain rice

cup shiitake mushrooms

tsp salt & pepper

cucumber

clove garlic clove

cup fresh spinach

oz sesame seed

cup korean bbq sauce

fl oz extra-virgin olive oil

in fresh ginger

white onion
oz gochugaru

lb ribeye steak

carrot
Instructions
In a large bowl, add in the sliced steak, onion, ginger, garlic, and Korean BBQ sauce. Mix to combine & coat all ingredients in the sauce. Let marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes to an hour. Cook rice according to package instructions. Set aside. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil & the marinated steak mixture. Cook steak slices about 3 minutes per side, until sauce and meat get nice and caramelized together. Set aside. In a separate skillet over medium heat, heat up some olive oil and sauté the mushrooms until golden brown. Season with salt, pepper, and Gochugaru or red pepper flakes to taste. Optional: add a tablespoon of Korean BBQ sauce for extra flavor. Set aside. In the same skillet, add in a bit more oil and the spinach. Season with salt, pepper, and Gochugaru to taste. Cook down the spinach until wilted and soft. Optional: add a tablespoon of Korean BBQ sauce for extra flavor. Set aside. Assemble the bowls: start with a nice hunk of cooked white rice, then top with the steak mix, mushrooms, spinach, cucumber, carrots, and kimchi. Garnish with green onion slices and sesame seeds.
