tsp cayenne pepper

tsp freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions
1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add in ground beef plus 1 teaspoon salt and black pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, until beef is almost completely brown and barely pink anymore. 2. Place a large pot over medium heat. Pour the cooked meat mixture into the pot. 3. In the large pan, heat another tablespoon of olive oil. Add in the diced onions plus 1 teaspoon salt and cook until softened and translucent, 5-7 minutes. Add in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add in the jalapeño and habanero and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. Transfer this mixture to the pot with the cooked beef. 4. Into the beef mixture, add in the cayenne, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, bay leaves, and cinnamon stick. Add in tomato paste, crushed and diced tomatoes, and both beans. Stir to combine and allow to sit & simmer on the stove on medium-low heat for about 30 minutes. Taste for seasoning and remove the bay leaves & cinnamon stick. 5. Serve in bowls topped with cheese, avocado, cilantro, and any other toppings you like. Enjoy!View original recipe
