BLTA Toastie with Honey Mustard

A delicious BLTA (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado) toastie enhanced with a honey mustard spread, served on crispy sourdough bread. Perfect for making your heirloom tomatoes shine!

Preheat oven to 400 Fahrenheit. Lie bacon strips on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until crisp but not burnt. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate. Heat a large pan over medium high. Spread 1 tbsp butter on each side of each slice of sourdough, then toast in the pan for 3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Set aside. In a small bowl, mix together mustard and honey until evenly combined. On the toasted pieces of bread, lay down the avocado slices (plus a sprinkling of kosher salt), then 2 strips of cooked bacon each, then a few heirloom tomato slices each (plus a sprinkling of kosher salt). Drizzle on some of the honey mustard and enjoy!
